Forbes Named "Small Business Champion"

Washington, D.C. – The Small Business & Entrepreneurship Council (SBE Council) recently presented Congressman J. Randy Forbes (VA-04) with its “Small Business Champion” award for his consistent record of support for legislation to provide the entrepreneurs and small business sector with opportunity for growth and innovation.

"Small business and entrepreneurs create the economic stamina of our country," stated Forbes. "It is an honor to be presented with this award and to support those who allow our country to thrive. I will continue to vote for policies that allow hard-working men and women to grow their family budgets and businesses."

SBE Council President & CEO Karen Kerrigan observed: "Small business owners and entrepreneurs, of course, are the backbone of the U.S. economy in terms of job creation, innovation, and pushing economic growth forward. While most politicians talk favorably about small businesses, Rep. Forbes actually voted in favor of their key issues."

Members of the House of Representatives were scored on 23 votes. The SBE Council's Congressional Voting Scorecard can be viewed and downloaded from SBE Council’s website at www.sbecouncil.org.
